Pine River Daily Adventures

Each day we will have an excursion to one or more of the Monadnock region's most spectacular natural areas:

  • Pisgah Park's 13,000 acres of forest, fen, ponds, and rivers.
  • 3,165 foot Mt. Monadnock.
  • 18th century grave sites with unique plants.
  • Waterfalls of Chesterfield Gorge.
  • Unique plants and animals found along the banks of the Connecticut River.
  • 706 acre Spofford Lake

Many of these natural areas are within walking distance from Pine River Camp.

Pine River Teaches Skills That Will Last A Lifetime

  • Hone skills of observation
  • Identify local flora and fauna
  • Learn to use the tools of the naturalist: Field guides, binoculars, geology kits, hand lenses, nature journaling, introduction to topographical maps and compass use.
  • Leave no trace wilderness travel and hiking safety
  • Community building activities involving trust and healthy risks
  • Wilderness first aid

Registration

We are offering two weeks of camp for children ages 9-11 in 2007. Your child may register for one or both weeks. Each week will have different excursions and a different focus. Thursday night will be an overnight. We are accepting only ten children per week so register early to ensure a spot. Cost per week is $200. Download Registration Form
